Fans of Toše Proeski keep a small calendar of their own. None of these dates belongs to this board — they belong to his family, his town and everyone who loved his music — but here is why each one matters and how people usually mark it.
25 January — birthday
Born in Prilep on 25 January 1981. Fans visit the grave and the Memorial House, play his records and hold charity actions. On this date in 2011 he was awarded a posthumous Order of Merit, and every year since his death Mile Stojkoski has travelled the road from Prilep to the grave in Kruševo in his wheelchair on this day.

25 April — the Memorial House
The Toše Proeski Memorial House in Kruševo opened on 25 April 2011. Fans who were there remember the crowds; others make it the date of their first visit.
2 August — Ilinden in Kruševo
Not his date, but his town's. Ilinden commemorations at Mečkin Kamen and Makedonium bring many visitors to Kruševo, and fans often combine them with a visit to the memorials.
5 October — the last concert
The charity concert at the Skopje city stadium in 2007, and the tribute concert held a year later on the same date in 2008.
16 October — the anniversary
The day he died in 2007. Candles in the squares, services, gatherings at the grave and a great deal of his music on radio and television. 2026 marks nineteen years.
17 October — the funeral
The state funeral in Kruševo and the national day of mourning in 2007.
Marking the dates well
- Keep gatherings respectful and peaceful, especially at the grave and churches.
- Choose giving over spending: a donation to a children's cause fits his record better than a pile of plastic flowers.
- Do not present fan events as official family or museum events.
