Toše's life was spread across a handful of towns in a small country, which makes it possible to follow it in two or three days. This route is a suggestion from fans for fans — adapt it to your pace and transport.
Day one: Prilep and Kruševo
Prilep is where he was born, on 25 January 1981, and where he won Melfest at fifteen. In October 2012 a mosaic with his image was revealed in the town. From Prilep it is about 33 km up to Kruševo. Spend the afternoon at the Memorial House and the grave, both at Gumenje, and stay overnight if you can — evening in the mountain town is part of the experience.

Day two: Kruševo and Bitola
In the morning, visit Makedonium with its bust of Toše under the dome, and Mečkin Kamen. Then drive about 53 km to Bitola, where he attended secondary music school. The school is listed on our board as the Toše Proeski Music School. Bitola's old centre is worth an afternoon on its own.
Day three: Skopje
In the capital, start at Macedonia Square, where people gathered with candles in October 2007. Walk to the Art Bridge over the Vardar to see his bronze statue. If there is an event on, finish at the National Arena Toše Proeski, the stadium where he gave his last concert. Fans with more time add the memorial fountain in Aerodrom.

Tips
- Distances are short, but mountain roads are slow; give yourself time between Prilep, Kruševo and Bitola.
- Many sites are memorials and places of worship first. Dress and behave accordingly.
- Opening times change; confirm locally before you set off.
- If you are visiting on an anniversary, expect crowds in Kruševo and plan accommodation early.
