The places connected with Toše are not just tourist sights. His grave is a family grave and a place of prayer; the Memorial House is a museum with staff and rules; monuments stand in public squares used by everyone. A few simple habits help keep them welcoming for the next visitor.

At the grave and chapel
- Speak quietly and keep music low or off. Many visitors come to pray.
- Dress modestly, as you would for an Orthodox church.
- Candles and fresh flowers are customary. Leave space for others, and take away any wrapping.
- Do not climb on, lean on or decorate the grave structure beyond what is customary.
- If family members are present, give them space. Never approach them for photos.
At the Memorial House
- Follow the museum's rules on photography and on touching exhibits.
- The building is shaped like a cross and many visitors treat it as a sacred space; keep your voice down.
- Check opening times before travelling; we do not publish hours because they change.
At public memorials
- The Art Bridge statue and Macedonia Square are busy public places. Take your photos and move on so others can too.
- At Makedonium, remember that the monument honours the fighters of 1903 and the Second World War, not only Toše; the bust inside the dome is in very serious company.
- At Mečkin Kamen, stay on paths and treat the battle memorial with respect.
Online
- Credit photographers. The photos on this board are credited on the photo credits page.
- Do not post song lyrics or unreleased recordings; they belong to their authors.
- Correct rumours with sources rather than repeating them.
For how to get to each place, see the memorial places directory and Kruševo for first-time visitors.
