What is Toše Fans?
Toše Fans is an English-language fan board remembering the Macedonian singer Toše Proeski (1981–2007). It is laid out like a member profile: his life first, his work second, then the places where his memory is kept and a fan board of dated threads. Our readers are fans in the diaspora, visitors planning a trip to North Macedonia, and people who have just heard one of his songs and want to know who he was.
Is this an official site?
No. This is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for Toše Proeski's family or estate, the Toše Proeski Memorial House in Kruševo, UNICEF, any record label or any government body. We write as fans, and we never claim otherwise. If you need official information about the museum or about rights to his music, please contact those organisations directly.
Where do the facts come from?
From published, checkable sources: encyclopaedia entries, contemporary news coverage and the descriptions that accompany public-domain and freely licensed photographs. Where sources disagree or we cannot confirm a detail — a date, a place, a title — we leave it out or say plainly that we are unsure. We do not publish opening hours, prices or phone numbers, because they change and we cannot vouch for them.
Why are there no lyrics or recordings?
Lyrics and recordings belong to the people who wrote and produced them. We describe songs, tell their stories and point you to albums, but we never reproduce lyrics, host audio or video, or link to unofficial copies. Please buy or stream official releases.
Where do the photos come from?
Every photograph on the board comes from Wikimedia Commons under a free licence (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA). Authors and licences are listed on the photo credits page.
How can I help?
Send corrections with a source, tell us about a memorial we have missed, or share a respectful memory of a concert or a visit to Kruševo through the contact page. And when you visit his grave or the Memorial House, leave the place as you would want to find it.
